When Theo Bothma from TBAD Architects and design was approached by Luxury Living and Maxfine to collaborate and design a stand for Decorex JHB 2019, he believed that instead of a straight forward collaboration and entirely new and exciting concept brand could be created. The concept of Xperience luXury was born, and the concept was to show an entire living space, including a kitchen, living area functional modern wardrobe and a bathroom. Your home is your sanctuary – it sets the mood we begin the day with and the tone of the welcome we return too. Our lives are busy and so driven by technology on a daily basis and this changes the way we think and feel. Our identities are constantly shifting and evolving and its sometimes difficult to keep track of who we are and what we like. Our home is different – this is the place we can be ourselves and re-centre ourselves. Colour reflects the things that bring us happiness. So when it comes to designing your own personal space colour can be a defining and expressive element. Building confidence in colour begins by painting a small space and experiencing the aesthetic and ambience created. The colours for 2020 are inspired by nature and our desire to reconnect with nature on a constant basis. There is no doubt that botanical colours will be the favourite for the seasons to come.
